Gina Glover.

-> Chromosomes Take To The Sky. Glover has also created several images for IVF clinics inspired by images and concepts on the subject of assisted conception

->Sperm Morphology. These ties belong to staff members at the ACU and have been rearranged to show variations in human sperm structure

->Yes! Monthly test strips in which pregnancy is indicated by the presence of two blue lines. The title indicates the excitement of a positive result – eventually

->Chromosome Socks, displayed in the genetic department at Guys hospital in London

-> Donated Eggs, on show at the IVF clinic at Guy's hospital, London. These eggs were donated by assisted conception unit staff, family and friends. Guy's and St Thomas' Charity commissioned Glover's one-year residency at the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust ACU

Gina Glover is a photographer and artist that makes interesting artwork.
Here is some stuff she has done to do with DNA ; chromosomes, IVF etc.

Animation?

This could be a possibility of an animation i may make, to be shown at the End of year show.
Its not finished, and its not really even starting there is a tiny bit of animation but it is not a final concept. Thats why there is only a few screenshots, documenting the transitions.

Fingerprint Type poster (2)

These are other versions of the fingerprint type poster. It is a different composition then the other one, and also it is different colours. The grey and white work well together, and this one has information in rather then random letters as posted in the other one. The font used is Courier new, and i have used this because it has nice letters and also the spacing between each letter makes it look sort of typewriter looking, and more scientific.

And also the green, black and white look well together, but the green is very bright, and overpowering and maybe not something i would not use, as it is not medically linked, and i think the more pastel colours are.

The blue poster, works really good, still sticking to the white bold type it fits nicely with the light blue fonts. This could be one of the final ones i do, as in how the colours work well together. Also the blue and whites remind you of medically related things.

The font in the corner is a different type face, but it is a barcode, and says the word DNA.
It is a font called 3 of 9 barcode available on http://www.dafont.com

STAMP PADS (:

Thanks to my parents (: i now have the stamp pads i need for the fingerprints, they are blue and red (: feminine and masculine, so now i can start doing my development on fingerprints. Its really interesting, i think to see if i have similarities with my parents and my siblings. I was thing of using my sisters fiance as a fingerprint example, because he has a scar on his fingerprint, and i want to see how different the patterns come out compared to a normal fingerprint.

Poster Concept

As stated in one of my final outcomes, i want to create a typography poster based on fingerprints. This is a moc up. This is a general starting idea, to see how it will look. I want the final outcome to have informational words inside as it will be informing people on DNA. The final piece will be on a A1/A2 size, and these are mainly the colour schemes i will be using. It has been created on Illustrator, and it has took some time, because the shapes of the text were drawn using the elipse tool as well as the arc shapes to create the paths for the text. The text is a mixture ov Myriad Pro & Arial this is pureley because it is a tester.

It was hard at first to create a shape, but overall i think i tackled the challenge very well.

There is also a corner bit, were it says the word 'DNA' but it is wrote in a barcode font called 'EanBwrP36Tt' and is avaaliable on http://www.dafont.com.

mood board (:

This mood board,is to do with things that are linked to my FMP.

More ideas..Colour Schemes

This is a title sequence for BBC show Casualty and all medical programs have the same feel. What i like about this one, is the quick moving images, and also they have decided to use more colours, and clips. I know it has no revelence to DNA but again the colour schemes are what i am mainly looking at.

Series 22 (2007)

Forensics Ideas

The overall look of my final outcomes, i really want to come out really forenseic looking. I think this whole feel will add to the ideas of fingerprints and scientific things. A good sense of idea is within the Spooks, tv series, title sequence. The overall feel for it is is very sci-fi and looks forensic.

The lines going through the montages of clips looks really good, and i want to match some of the feel for that in my final ideas.
This sequence was done by a design agency called Why not associates (http://www.whynotassociates.com)

The bright colours like the blues, greys and greens are colours that i may just overal use as it adds to the effect.

FEED Layout - FMP Link

For a mini brief we were set to make a FEED spread layout. I have wrote an article about DNA/Fingerprints, to base my layout on, but also the theme goes well with my FMP. The research that i have done for this magazine, will help me develop my ideas more towards the FMP.
